lyrics

Everybody's leaving, it's inevitable
it might not end as planned
timelines and goodbyes
leave a note when you get there, will you?

entrances and exits
get well, fare well
the memories they crush me
like an avalanche

I swear i didn't saw it coming
and now i blame myself for all the words left unspoken

a light relief
a little death, a little victory

a little death
that got a hold on me
a little victory
let's shake this off

i hope everything didn't change after all of this
but why do i feel safe knowing the worst is yet to come?
a lesson learned:
"death has to be the key to life"
but i prefer to have you right here on this side

I drove all night
to be there in the morning
Thank god it's over
you still look tired you have empty eyes
but i caught a glimpse of a smile
the smoke, the furnace, the sun
slow storms are raging on

The very first time in crisis like this
is that the turning point where I cascade?
and salute the adolescence aftermath

i hope everything didn't change after all of this
and why do i feel safe knowing the worst is yet to come
a lesson learned:
"death has to be the key to life"
(at least my adolescent life)
but i prefer to have you right here on this side
